British Science Week 2025

What a fantastic week we’ve had at St George's CE celebrating British Science Week! Each day, our science playtimes allowed different classes to get hands-on with exciting equipment, from bug hunting gear to leading their own forces investigations – the enthusiasm was infectious!

We were especially proud of our eight Year 5 students who represented us brilliantly at the RGS STEM challenge. They truly shone!

Every child created amazing posters themed around "Change," showcasing their creativity and clear ties to scientific concepts.

Our Dress as a Scientist Day was a particular highlight, with a dazzling array of costumes representing famous scientists and STEM professionals. The effort was incredible!

Lastly, everyone enjoyed a thrilling class STEM challenge where we had to protect a biscuit from a weight dropping on it, using only 20 pieces of paper. We certainly had fun while learning!
